help me get out of a speeding ticket

I have a perfect driving record and would like to keep it that way. I was pulled over the other day going 48 in a 35mph construction zone.

The ticket will cost 90 bucks, but it says on te back that all tickets within a construction zone that points and fine are doubled.

The cop actually wrote me up for an original 5 over so the ticket is for 40 in a 35. He said that since my driving record was perfect and that I was a clean citizen within that city with no warrants that he would cut me that break.

So the ticket says 40 in a 35, but on the bottom where it says notes, its says 48 in 30 (construction).

I don't care about the fine, or if it's doubled, I just don't want the points on there for insurance purposes. I've been to this same court in front of the same guy I would say about 3 times within the past year for different bull and he's always thrown my points out and just made me pay the fine, one time he doubled it, but the main thing was the points.

He basically throws everyones points out and either makes them just paythe fine or doule the fine, but not once have I seen him give anyone a hard time. He kind of fucks with you a little bit just to see what youre going to say, but ends up just saying no points, pay the fine, dismissed.

I'm thinking he may remember me and I can't keep usuing teh same excuse. I plan on pleading guilty with explanation, but I don't have an explanation as I was caught speeding period for no reason than other than trying to get to my destination asap while avoiding the turtles on the road.

What can I say?

They are kind of too serious about people speeding in construction zones with the amount of accidents hurting construction workers on the road, but there weren't any workers on the road, just barrels up with tape and besides I was on the other side of the steet anyway.

I tried playing dumb and asked the cop that if he was cutting me a break on the speed, if he could just give me a pass or at least do something and the prick told me that was all he could do.

He said my best bet would be to make an appointment to see the judge and that since I have a perfect record that he would more than likely erase the points and just make me pay a fine.

I just need a solid excuse that makes sense.

Believe me, he's giving you a break lowering it to 40 in a 35. Probably only a couple of points and the insurance company won't bat an eye. The 48/35 is 3 points in Michigan and may draw some attention, besides a much steeper fine.

I would just sign the ticket, pay the fine, and move on.

In Michigan, they don't drop the points but make you pay. The cop was just giving you a line, he's not a lawyer. I have a feeling you would change how you look at construcion zones if you worked in one. Those people don't make enough IMO.

DON'T PAY THE FINE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - find an attorney that handle traffic tickets in your area - in South Florida there are several firms such as the "ticket clinic", etc. - for about $80 they will have the whole thing disappear - take my advice on this.

man trust me even a 2 point speeding ticket with my place will be all over my ass like white on rice. ive had up to 8 points at one time, had my license suspended and they kicked me out. had to get on with some fly by night shop to even have insurance period. they just look for anything to raise those prices. ive since had that stuff erased and it was about 3 yrs ago. ive had tickets since then but always went to court and had the points thrown out at least. i just need a decent excuse. i will fight this until im blue in the face.

help me with an excuse and if it works ill let you bang my neighbor in the ass for free. shes hot and usually i charge top notch prices.

You don't need any excuses and if you put it down for trial no one will want to hear your excuses - find a run of the mill traffic attorney - we're talking about $100 or so and this goes away (90% of the time)

yeah i know they are hard working individuals that deserve a raise. i have no problem with construction workers whatsever. if anything they gain my respect as my great grandfather was a road laborer for 20 some years.

there wasnt any workers on the road. i was just trying to get somewhere in a hurry by a certain deadline and layed on the gas a little to heavy. fuckin pig pulling out of a mcdonalds caught up with me. when he got behing me the first thing i thought was lett him pull me over, i dont have any warrants, and im not drunk or have any drugs on me, i didnt do anything.

next thing i know prick puts lights on and says he got me for 48 in 35 in construction, but wrote me up for 40 ina 35.

seems like the city i live in never cuts breaks and other cities will cut me breaks. strange cause you figure someone in your own city would cut you some slack. not these folks. they are money hungry.

as previosuly stated though. ive been before this magistrate 3 times for speeding and never once have i had the points charged. they alays wiped the points off and made me pay a fine. i never got a lwayer as it was just a little silly traffic citation, none needed for a measley 5 over.

i dont think id like to set up a hearing and all that. it just pisses the judge off even more since youre cutting into his blow off time.

one guy ahead of me went up for blowing a stop sign. he insisted he didnt blow it and the judge sai well im sure he wouldnt have stopped you for no reason if you didnt blow it. the guy was like and thts what im saying, i didnt blow it but naturally you will take the cops side because you werent there so theres nothing i can do.

the judge got all pissed and cranky and asked if he would like to set up a hearing. the guy was like no not really, but i would appreciate if you could at least take the points under advisement. the judge said he would drop the points if the guy agreed to pay the fine. he did and that was it.

thats how most of these things go. ive used teh same excuse 2 times in a row now and need to come up with a new one before he starts catching on. tese judges have memories of an elephant, trust me.
